The ER/Kinetico Para-Flo backwashing filters provide solutions for a wide number of water treatment needs. Water is filtered, or treated, by being passed through one or more filtration media: Granular Activated Carbon, Birm®, Calcite, Ceramic, or Filter-AG®, solving taste, odor, iron, turbidity, pH, and other water problems. The Para-Flo backwashing filters are non-electrical and completely automatic. They use twin tank systems, joined by a single module, that automatically regulates backwash and shifts from one unit to the other when required, insuring treated water is always available and providing an uninterrupted flow of filtered water.

In addition, the ER/Kinetico backwashing filters use Para-Flo to improve efficiency. A special control disk and a restrictor tube in the main tank makes it possible to direct the flow of the water through both tanks simultaneously. This flow pattern minimizes pressure drop through the system and maximizes flow rates and filtration.
