Earth Resources/ TrojanUVMax™ ultraviolet water purification systems are unique systems that destroy bacteria, mold, virus, and algae from drinking water and process water without the use of heat or chemicals. The UVMax range of purification systems are low cost, easy to use, and extremely effective alternatives to chlorine and ozone for purifying water for domestic, commercial, and small industrial applications. The UVMax systems handle flows of up to 178 L/min (10.7 m3/h).

Ultraviolet (UV) systems work by exposing microorganisms suspended in water to lethal ultraviolet rays that alter the DNA make-up of the organisms. This process prevents them from reproducing and effectively kills the microbes and purifies the water. Not only is it safe and highly effective, but UV does not change the taste, color, or odor of water; it simply removes the risk of illness caused by microbial contamination, making water safe to drink or use for other purposes.
